The toboggan runs in Val Venosta/Vinschgau

Thrilling fun on two blades

There is no shortage of toboggan runs in Val Venosta/Vinschgau. Which is why it's particularly exciting for families to spend a winter holiday here. As what could be more wonderful than screaming, laughing children enjoying the thrilling descents on the toboggan runs in South Tyrol?

Here in Tubre in Val Monastero/Taufers im Münstertal there is a 4 km long natural toboggan run, which elicits joyous laughter from both children and adults. In nearby Switzerland there are also several toboggan runs, one of them is the one from Lü to Tschierv, which is floodlit at night and is roughly 2 km long.

Wherever the lifts lead up to skiing areas you can usually find toboggan runs too. For example, the 4 km long Plantapatsch toboggan run in the Watles skiing area. You can get back to where the toboggan run starts by chairlift and toboggan there as long as you like. There are also two toboggan runs in the Malga San Valentino/Haider Alm skiing area and the Belpiano/Schöneben skiing area. They are 2.5 km and 2 km long and floodlit every evening.

The longest of the nearby toboggan runs can be found in the Nauders ski resort just the other side of the Austrian border. With its 7 km this toboggan run offers sheer endless tobogganing fun for young and old winter sports fans. You can hire toboggans at all the lift and cable car bottom stations and at the Lamm hotel.
